Detecting bad hair Transplants
like a surgery, that the results are either negative or what you never expected. Care thus is paramount while having procedures like hair transplants done on your body. The reason is simply because hair transplanting is a permanent thing.
If not permanent, then repairs must be done on them. This constrains to your budget, thus making it a waste of your own resources to do and redo your currently messed up hair. Some of the ways in which one can notice the presence of poorly done procedures in surgery are:
- Huge grafts: This is an occurrence whereby the areas around the plug into which the donor hair was placed experiences larger hair density than the particular region of transplant. The result of such a miscalculation is that an unnatural effect of hair density is visible. Excess hair is seen in one region while some other region lacks hair.
- Broad and low hairlines: Some surgeons may make the mistake of misplacing the hair just near the brow. A normal human being has his hairline at approximately 1.5cm above the brow crease. Any positioning of the transplant that is further away or too near the brows crease line signifies some irregularity, which rarely naturally occurs. This unnatural border line of hair gives the face an unproportional look.
- Wrong direction: Whenever you notice that hair has been planted in some weird direction, this will signify a wrong and unsuccessful transplant. Some surgeon, through concentrating on large grafts end up transferring this hair perpendicular to the direction of the scalp. On doing so, the hair grows to stand in a different direction to the rest of the natural hair, causing such an unusual radial look.
- Scarring in area of transplant: Large wounds can be caused by wrong procedures. Whenever this happens, scars that are visible usually start to occur, making it even difficult to comb someone’s hair. Wrongly done procedures can also cause a wound that will distort the direction of hair growth.
Wrong hair surgeries can be redone. They will take the same procedure as before to correct and bring back that naturally looking hair that someone longs for. The problem in this case is that one starts experiencing loss of donor hair. The density thus should be looked into carefully before procedures begin.
